Is Dishoom Halal

Dishoom is a thriving restaurant brand that symbolizes Bombay’s food culture and has captured the attention of foodies worldwide. It offers a diverse menu with non-halal options. But for those looking for halal options, whether Dishoom is halal or not.

Dishoom is not fully halal. However, their all-day menu is Halal, with lamb and chicken coming from halal-certified suppliers, and the animals are humanely stunned before slaughter, adhering to Islamic guidelines.

So, get into Dishoom’s locations— London, Manchester, Edinburgh, or even Dubai—to enjoy their juicy Chicken Ruby and savory Keema Pav, or check out their extensive vegetarian and vegan menu.

1. Is Dishoom Halal?

Dishoom is partially halal, serving both halal and non-halal menus, much like the query “Is Taco Bell Halal” that often arises among diners. They confirm that the chicken and lamb on their menu are halal and sourced from halal-certified suppliers.

Their all-day menu is halal, but they also provide alcohol, sausages, and bacon made from pork.

However, Dishoom ensures that all non-Halal food is cooked using separate cooking equipment and utensils, so there is no cross-contamination between pork and non-pork products.

They serve breakfasts, an all-day menu, a gluten-free menu, a special kids and vegan menu, and the delivery service is also available.

We enjoy the most famous dish of Dishoom, chicken ruby, tender chicken in a rich, silky makhani sauce. It cost us 15.5 euros, which is not too much for such a mouth-watering dish.

Their suppliers of lamb and chicken are halal-certified. So there is no need to worry if you are looking for a halal one.

2. Is Dishoom London Halal?

Dishoom Carnaby transports lively Bombay charm to the cultural heart of Soho and world-famous Carnaby Street, London. Begin your day with breakfast, where Chai will be limitless, or enjoy Chef’s special dish of Salli Boti, a first-rate Bombay favorite.

Their lamb and chicken are halal and sourced from halal-certified suppliers. They have copies of the certificates.

Please note that their menu also has alcohol, sausages, and bacon. The sausage and bacon are only available on the breakfast menu, and the main menu is all halal.

All Haram items are cooked on a separate grill or in a specific pan. All utensils are washed thoroughly after being used for these products. These items are also stored in a separate part of the refrigeration area.

Chef Naved strictly eats only Halal, so he is very conscientious about ensuring all of this is observed.

Outdoor seating and great cocktails are also available. Kids are allowed, and there is a special menu for kids and vegans.

Prices are decent, costing 30 to 40 euros a lunch.

The location is 22 Kingly St, Carnaby, London W1B 5QP, where they serve Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 11 pm, on Friday from 8 am to 12 am, and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 12 am.

The restaurant is not halal in the morning, as they serve pork for breakfast. However, they go through a full washdown before lunchtime and serve halal-only food.

The staff is very polite and professional except for the receptionist, who is rude and racist.
